Important Dates for 2012-2013
Welcome to the Deer Creek Freshman Academy!
August 3: Freshman Orientation will be Friday, August 3rdfrom 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. New 9th grade students will meet with our Link Crew, which is a group of upperclassmen at DCHS. The Link Crew leaders will help your student feel more comfortable at DCHS through school tours, activities, and information about life at the high school. While your student participates in orientation, parents may attend a meeting at 11:00 a.m. in the HS auditorium. Our Freshman Academy counselor, Jinni Fields and I will provide information about the mission of the Freshman Academy and answer questions.
August 7: Schedule pick up for freshmen will be on Tuesday, August 7th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm. To pick up a schedule, your student must be cleared from any obligations (overdue books, missing textbooks, etc.) and currently enrolled at the high school. Proof of residency and all necessary forms must be completed before a schedule will be provided.
August 14: Generally, students will need paper, pens, pencils, and 3-ring binders for classes in Biology and Oklahoma History. Algebra I and Geometry students will need a calculator. The recommended one is the Texas Instruments TI-30XS MultiView.
